Standard star in Paint Mask
MB-GPW use 4" for front bumper, 6" for sides, 15" for hood per AR-850 marking manual.
M38-M38A1 use 3" for front bumper, 6" for sides and front fenders, 15" per AR-850 manual pre 1955, and 20" post 1955 for hood. Howerer there were many field marked variations to the preceeding sizes specified in manuals.
Paint Mask is made from an adhesive backed vinyl material. It allows for a clean edge and gives a professional looking result.
